Meet Rufus!

Rufus is a very sweet boy who is currently enjoying some quiet time in foster care while he waits for his forever home.

Rufus is a nervous soul, so he can take a little time to feel comfortable and learn to trust new people. But underneath that initial shyness is a gentle, affectionate boy who just needs someone patient enough to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. Once he feels safe, Rufus has so much love to give.

Rufus is FIV positive. FIV is a condition that can be managed, and FIV-positive cats can still enjoy happy, fulfilling lives. Because of Rufus’s status, he is looking for an indoor-only home where he will be the only cat.

His ideal home would be a calm and quiet one with someone who understands that building a bond with a nervous cat takes patience, kindness and time. Rufus may not be the cat who runs straight up to greet you, but give him the time he needs and you could gain a wonderfully loyal companion.
